It simply does not find my volumio endpoint when I select qobuz connect.
#VOLUMIO QOBUZ HOW TO#
I would like to avoid a subscription and have heard that Moode sounds better but still unclear on exactly how to implement. I don't believe the Raspberry Pi feeding the DAC via USB is any better sound quality than a Windows PC would be. But I can’t cast to Volumio from within Qobuz itself. I’ve read about Volumio and Moode but it’s unclear to me if in either case I’m streaming from my Qobuz account via the RPi4 or if I’m streaming from my phone to the RPi4. In MyVolumio I get the same three sections but I cannot expand any and the number of found. What I am most interested on is seeing only the albums. Each can be expanded by clicking See all releases. Why not just connect the DAC to the PC and just run the Qobuz app which is superior to the WEB Volumio UI? Is the Raspberry Pi just redundant hardware in my setup? On the Qobuz desktop I do a search for, example, vivaldi and get back three panes - one of artists, one of albums and one of tracks. This feature is not supported by Volumio, but Guarise says it’s on our to-do list. Another Qobuz feature I really like is the ability to view album booklets when the record label makes them available. Is Volumio needed because I am using a Raspberry Pi as the streamer? I have a dedicated Windows PC to run Volumio in a browser so I can control it. However, unlike the Qobuz app, Volumio doesn’t identify the organization granting the award - e.g., Pitchfork or Diapason d’Or. If you have Android, you can try the BubbleUPnP app as a frontend. Ideally, Volumio would provide a sort option like the BubbleUPnP app on Android. Tidal’s default order matches your preference and Qobuz’s default order does not.
#VOLUMIO QOBUZ MANUAL#
Although initially I was not able to connect to it using the websites mentioned in the manual I directly. Volumio is displaying the list in the default sort order of the streaming service. I know Volumio supplies native bit depth and sample rate but how is that done on their end? If the file is in MP3 coming from Qobuz, how does Volumio get it back to native uncompressed audio? Does Volumio have a private link to Qobuz to get the native file where as Qobuz compresses the same data to MP3 on the fly for direct Qobuz streaming? I know that is technically possible. Hello I have been trying to use Volumio with Qobuz. What is the purpose of Volumio? Qobuz will stream directly. (Note I am in the broadcast TV industry so I understand streaming on a technical level, hence this question:)

Based on internet advice, I use Qobuz through Volumio. Both TIDAL and Qobuz integration on Volumio require the paid MyVolumio subscription, unless you are streaming them from an app such as mconnect HD. I have a setup using a Raspberry Pi as my music server feeding a DAC via USB.
